Just had a course with Andreas, it’s my third time doing a first aid course but this was definitely the best, very informative and funny guy!! Wouldn’t have asked for a better session ! The man deserves a raise !!!

Previously i had competed this course many times before, now a 4hr refresher entails you to spend 5hrs at the training centre and 5hrs trying to get the (newly updated) massive online quiz 100% correct.Fyi, dont be even 1 min late from your earlier than course time arrival as they wont let you in due to temp gun covid test and you will have to pay for a second enrolment plus lose your time.I personally feel they've gone completely over the top now, we are not training to become paramedics here.

We called SJA approx 3 months ago because my father had fallen and couldn’t walk and hadn’t been to toilet for some hrs. Comment was you contacted us because you need help getting your father to toilet. No we called because he couldn’t walk to toilet. Eventually taken to hospital where he diagnosed with fractured ankle pins and screws inserted as well as steel rod in his fractured arm. Told only call ambulance for emergency. Few hours ago my daughter had to ring SJG middle of night as he had lost feeling to his legs. Told again only ring ambulance for emergency but no fractures take couple panadol and rest for the night. My father is 92 has a full time catheter and is walking fine now with aid of walker. He doesn’t just decide he doesn’t want to walk again same ambulance guy brings up previous visit where they were called out for incontinence doesn’t mention fractured ankle. I’m disgusted with these people who think they are qualified as doctors. My father lives by himself and has full faculties. He doesn’t call the ambulance at a whim and apart from these past two times I don’t think he’s ever called in 50 years. My daughter got told take him to his GP. Well hello how is she supposed to get him in car if his legs don’t work!!!

Great course. Everyone was welcoming from the time you walked in to the time you left. Not once was I left out or felt that the course was going too fast for me. Hands on practise was great and sooooo important to understand how to perform the required tasks and have a little experience on what it may feel like. Life is so precious why wouldn't you want to help someone keep theirs in a time of need.

I have recently completed a St John course and recommend everyone who works, has children and older parents to consider completing a course for yourself and for your loved ones. The course was very informative, the online part of it was extremely helpful and the practical was very thorough making me feel confident to apply the results if or when a situation arisesThank you.

I honestly don't know what will we do without St John Ambulance. We have called them so many times for my mother and they have been so quick to come, always polite, friendly and very professional....better than some of the doctors and nurses I think. Thank you all and hope you receive a big pay rise. Stay safe and Bless you all.

Show up to CPR training, which is a three-hour annual refresher session, get informed that the session was canceled because the trainer has an emergency, I took a day off to fit this renewal training in, it was very inconvenient experience to rebook again, wasted time, money, parking ticket and effort. you expect the head office of St John in Belmont (with many staff all over the place) to be more organized and professional and have somebody on standby in case one of the staff have an emergency, not send you an email half an hour before commencing the training and leave a message on your mobile. not a good experience, will never ever recommend or commence their training again or recommend their merchandise, their course is overpriced and overrated, if you want to do First Aid or CPR do your research before booking, there are many good venues in Belmont, and good ones in Perth CBD …lots of other places with better service, and less expensive training sessions. unfortunately, St John Ambulance establishment is more fixated on money-making poor-quality merchandise and training activities, instead of priding themselves on customer service or quality courses... you would expect their head office to be better equipped and more staffed... bottom line … a waste of space.

Showed up 7 minutes late because I went to the wrong St John place on the same road. Got there and told that I'd missed the class and would have to re-enrol, then told to wait outside. Kelly comes out and tells me that I should go in and apologise to the class... I get in there and find out they've only just started the introductions, I'd missed nothing important at all, nothing related to first aid... And yet I was made to stress over losing $180 because someone wanted to show that they have power over others? In a course that encourages people to be caring and compassionate to others, Kelly was very cold and unprofessional towards me, either to make a joke or to exercise her power over others.

Hi, just wanted to thank you for all the marks and chips that you put on my walls when you effectively stopped me from working to take me to a 120 year old hospital to be forced debilitating antipsychotics. Keep up the good work not the persecution

A really good and comprehensive 1 day course. I did mine in Rockingham with Mel and she was just awesome. 3 days after my refresher I had to perform CPR on my neighbour who had a heart attach.Do the course as you never know what emergency you will come across in life.
